Instructions for Replacing the ABS Control Unit

Model: Mercedes Clk A208, W208, C208 - Years 1997-2003

If the ABS warning light remains illuminated on the instrument panel, which is the system that allows the wheels to brake without locking and thus skidding, it is likely that there is a fault with the control unit; to remove it, open the bonnet and locate the position of this unit, which is just behind the left front headlamp (driver's side), in front of the windscreen washer reservoir; then unscrew the mounting screws of the unit (which also integrates the solenoids for the pistons) and pull it away from its position to disconnect the respective connectors.
