Instructions for Replacing Spark Plugs

Model: Mercedes Clk A208, W208, C208 - Years 1997-2003

To replace the spark plugs, it is advisable to proceed with a cold engine to avoid unpleasant burns; note that to access the bank on the passenger side, you need to remove the air filter box by disconnecting the mass air sensor connector and releasing the clips; for the driver's side, it is suggested to unscrew the fixing pin of the lower engine mount and lift it with a jack to increase working space; at this point, unscrew the fixing screws of the ignition coils, disconnect the coils and leads to remove the old spark plugs and install the new ones without exceeding the tightening torque; then proceed in reverse for reassembling the leads, coils, and everything previously removed.
