Replacement of Ignition Coil

If the engine struggles to start or runs unevenly once started, and the engine warning light comes on, the fault is likely due to the failure of ignition in one of the cylinders. A check of the fault memory in the engine management ECU with a diagnostic tool will reveal the fault code and the cylinder with the missing ignition. In this case, there is a problem with the first cylinder: therefore, remove the plastic cover above the engine, disconnect the power connector of the coil and the cables that feed the spark plugs from the coil, unscrew the fixing screw in the centre of the coil, and proceed in reverse for the installation of the new one.
