How to Replace the Ignition Coil on a Mercedes A-Class (W168)

Model: Mercedes Classe A W168 - Years 1997-2004
Part: Ignition coil

Open the hood and prop it up with the support rod. Disconnect the connector from the ignition coil, as shown in the video. Unscrew the ignition coil bracket using an 11 mm socket wrench. Remove the ignition coil from the spark plug housing and install the new part in the same location, ensuring you hear a "click" indicating that the coil is properly seated. Tighten the fasteners with the same 11 mm socket wrench. Torque them to 11 lb-ft. Reconnect the connector to the ignition coil and close the hood.
