Connecting the Xenon Headlight Control Unit

Damage to the ignition unit of the xenon headlight lamps on Mercedes vehicles is a fairly common fault: it is possible to purchase it aftermarket at reasonable prices. The ignition unit is integrated within the headlight's closure cap and includes a lamp holder to connect to the bulb; therefore, detach the cap from the rear of the headlight, disconnect the lamp holder, replace the ignition unit inside, and reconnect everything; then perform headlight ignition checks to test the efficiency of the new unit.
