The check engine light on the instrument cluster of the Mercedes C-Class indicates a generic malfunction in the engine's fuel injection system: therefore, there is no single procedure to reset the light. You need to connect a diagnostic tool to the vehicle's OBD port, located on the lower left side of the steering column: this way, you can check which errors are stored in the ECU and reset them correctly. At this point, you can disconnect the diagnostic tool and start the engine, confirming that the light has been reset.
