In this video, you will learn how to reset the steering angle sensor. If you have disconnected the battery, it is necessary to reset or re-initialize the steering angle sensor to eliminate the possibility of the onboard computer signalling errors for ABS or ESP. The vehicle in the video is a Mercedes CLK, but the procedure is the same for any vehicle of the brand. It is very simple; turn the steering wheel all the way to one side until it locks, then turn it all the way to the other side until it locks. This will restore the centre of the steering angle, and any errors will be cleared.
