In this video, you will learn how to clean and repair a Mercedes key fob: from the first shots, you can see that it is a heavily used and damaged fob. First, pull out the emergency key, and using that, remove the part containing the battery, which is a CR2025. Still using the key, extract the microchip, and now you can see all the dirt that has accumulated on the body of the fob; clean it with a cloth soaked in cleaner and use an old toothbrush; gently clean the chip with contact cleaner, then dry it with a puff of warm air. Now, clean the battery compartment with the soaked cloth, dry it well, and if necessary, replace the battery, then start reassembling everything, beginning with the chip, then the battery compartment, and finally the emergency key. Job done.
