Let's see how to reset the service light of the 2014 Mini Cooper without specific tools: turn on the ignition and hold down the "trip/RBC" button located on the left side of the dashboard until the "maintenance menu" appears. Using the same "BC" button, scroll to the "oil" or "service" option. Press and hold the "BC" button again for 5/10 seconds until the "reset" option appears and the counter updates. Exit and check. On some versions of the Mini with iDrive, the procedure may vary slightly, but for the base model, this is definitely the way to go.
