Let’s see how to reset the service light on a 2016 Mini Cooper (the procedure is the same for all models from 2014 to 2018). Turn on the ignition and press and hold the trip button under the rev counter for about 5 to 10 seconds until the "oil service" message appears.

Navigate through the options using the selection button until you find the service you wish to reset (oil change, inspection, etc.). With the selected option, press and hold the selection button until the "reset" message or a confirmation question appears.

Release the button, then press and hold it again to confirm. A tick mark will appear, and the countdown will be reset.
