How do you replace the rear brake pads on a Mini Cooper?

Model: Mini Mini R52, R50, R53 - Years 2001-2007
Part: Brake pads

In order to replace the rear brake pads of the Mini Cooper, you need to lift the car with a jack or a lift, so that the wheel corresponding to the pads to be replaced is not in contact with the ground. Once the car is lifted, you will need to loosen the wheel fastening bolts, remove it from its seat, and access the components at the rear. Here, the brake caliper will be present, which will need to be detached from the disc by unscrewing its fastening bolts: the pads inside can then be replaced with new spare parts.

How to Remove the Door Panel on a Mini

Perform the disassembly of the door panel (front right) on a Mini: disconnect the battery terminals located in the engine bay (if you need to disconnect terminals). Use a lever to remove the plastics in the area of the upper door opening lever and the screws present in the handle (if any). Remove the trim near the window, unscrew the remaining screws on the door panel and detach the securing clips. Finally, pull the panel away with your hands and detach it from the door (disconnect the power wiring and the opening cable).
