To reset the window regulator on the Mini Cooper, turn on the instrument panel by inserting the ignition key into the corresponding ignition switch: once this is on, close the door and press the button to raise the window, holding it down even after it has been fully raised. After a few seconds, you can release the button and lower the window completely: this will reset the window regulator, and you can then turn off the instrument panel.
