Mini - Video tutorial

Model: Mini Mini R55, R56, R57 - Years 2007-2014
Part: Bodywork
Operation: How to replace the support pistons of the tailgate

In the next video, a guide will illustrate, in a few steps, a quick and very simple operation, to do even at home, which consists in replacing the shock absorbers or support pistons of the tailgate. All we need to do is open the latter and extract the old pistons from its holder. After that, we will go to insert new ones: we will press lightly until we hear a "click". It will mean it was locked up well. If we want to change it, we can repeat the same operation with the other shock absorber as well. An obvious but important recommendation is to replace them one at a time.

How do I unlock the automatic transmission of the BMW 3 Series?

In order to unlock the automatic transmission of the BMW 3 Series, the Start / Stop button and the lever release button must be pressed at the same time. This procedure will allow the car gearbox to be unlocked for about 15 minutes, so that in the event of an engine failure, the car can still be moved. It may be necessary to repeat the operation more than once for its success. After unlocking the gearbox, it can return to its original state by simply waiting for the aforementioned 15 minutes, or by pushing the release lever forward for a few seconds.
