Using the designated side button, remove the seat and disconnect the battery terminals (always start by disconnecting the negative terminal). Now lower yourself and also disconnect the small cable from the starter motor as shown in the video. Unscrew the upper bolt connecting to the battery and then unscrew the two rear bolts securing the starter motor. Done! After these simple steps, you can remove the faulty starter motor. For fitting the new one, simply proceed in reverse order. Reconnect the battery and check its operation.

In order to replace the headlight bulb of the Kymco Downtown 300i, it is necessary to loosen the screws that secure the panels located at the front of the vehicle fairing: once the fixing screws of these panels have been loosened, those on the inside of the front fairing can be unscrewed, so that the latter can be removed from its housing. Now it will be possible to proceed by unscrewing the screws that secure the corresponding headlight, disconnecting the connector and removing the bulb inside; in this way the fairings can be reinstalled.
