Using the appropriate side button, remove the saddle and disconnect the battery poles (you always start by disconnecting the negative pole). Now get down and disconnect the small starter motor cable well shown in the video. Unscrew the upper bolt of the connection to the battery and then unscrew the two rear bolts that hold the same motor in place. Already done! After these simple processes you can already remove the failed starter motor. To assemble the new one, all that remains is to proceed backwards. Reconnect the battery and check that it works.

How do you replace the battery of the BMW R 1200 GS LC?

In order to replace the battery of the BMW R 1200 GS LC a screwdriver must be used so that it is possible to loosen the screws that secure the protective casing located on the right side of the motorcycle, under the tank. By removing this cover, it will be possible to loosen the bolts that secure the transverse bracket that blocks the battery and disconnect its cables. By loosening the last retaining bolts, the battery can be removed from its housing and replaced with a new spare part. After installation, it will need to be connected and fixed with the appropriate cross bracket.
