How to Replace the Exterior Mirror on a Nissan Qashqai

Replacing the exterior rearview mirror on a Nissan Qashqai is a somewhat complicated operation, as the power connector is located behind the door panel, so to disconnect it, you will first need to remove the panel. Inside the door handle, there will be a cover that needs to be removed using a flathead screwdriver or a plastic lever, which will give access to two bolts that need to be undone. Once the two bolts are undone, you can remove the panel by prying along its perimeter to release all the plastic clips. After releasing all the clips, taking care with the handle, simply lift the panel to detach it from the car, which will give access to the main power connector located behind the panel that can then be disconnected, allowing for the removal of the panel itself. At this point, you will finally have access to the power connector of the mirror, identifiable by the cable coming from it, so once this is also disconnected, you can proceed with the final disassembly. The mirror will be fixed to the car with three bolts hidden behind the plastic cover located in the direction of the mirror itself; this will be snap-fitted, and it will just take a bit of leverage to remove it and then unscrew the three bolts. After unscrewing the three bolts, the mirror should come away easily from the car, and you can then insert the new one and complete the job by reassembling everything in the reverse order of disassembly.
