Changing the Front Headlamp Bulbs of an Opel Astra

Want to change the front headlamp bulbs of an Opel Astra but don't know where to start? Follow this guide. Open the bonnet by pulling the lever located at the bottom right of the dashboard and secure it. Remove the air intake kit next to the right headlamp by undoing the securing screws with a screwdriver. Locate the inspection cap of the headlamp (located at the rear of the headlamp) and remove it. At this point, you will find the bulbs with metal clips; pull the bulb holder out of the headlamp and extract the damaged bulb using a screwdriver. Fit the new bulb (ensuring it is the correct type and size) and insert the bulb holder back into the headlamp housing. Finally, close the headlamp with the inspection cap and reassemble the air intake kit. For replacing the left headlamp bulbs, remove the washer reservoir tube extension and the fuse box cover. Use the same steps as before. Test the correct operation of the lights.
