How to remove and install the center console of an Opel Astra H

In this video, we will see how to remove and then install the center console of an Opel Astra H: first, pull up the handbrake and remove the panel underneath it. This will expose two screws located at the base of the gear lever; once removed, the base can easily be taken off, along with the gear lever boot. After removing this, the part containing the cigarette lighter/ashtray will also come off: simply disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the handbrake boot as well. Now we can put everything back in place, whether we just needed to clean it or if our intention was to replace it. Proceed in reverse order, starting with the handbrake boot, reconnect the cigarette lighter connector and put the container back in place, then reattach the gear lever base, tightening the two screws, and finally put the panel back under the handbrake.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
