How to replace the starter motor of a 2005 Opel/Vauxhall Vivaro

In this video we can see how to change the starter motor of an Opel/Vauxhall Vivaro: we disconnect the air tube and remove the 10mm fixing bolts; this way we will have better access to the upper bolt of the starter motor; disconnect the electrical cables from the starter motor, then remove the upper bolt with a 17mm socket wrench; we will have easy access from above. For the lower bolt we will use a 15mm wrench with extension, but we will have to access from below, which may be blocked by pipes or cables that need to be moved carefully. Rotate the starter motor slightly to remove it from its housing and pull it downwards (it is quite heavy). We can find the new starter motor for example on Auto. Doc. It with the code 2S0083 at the price of 96.20 euros + 9.95 euros for delivery. We install it in its place by first screwing the lower bolt of 15 and then the upper one of 17. Reconnect the electrical cables, and reassemble the airbox.
