On the Opel Insignia B, Cruise Control is managed using the controls on the left side of the steering wheel. To activate it, press the m button (or the button with the cruise icon).

A white light will illuminate on the instrument cluster: the system is in standby but is not yet controlling speed. At this point, drive to the desired speed (must be above 19 miles/h) and turn the dial to SET/- to memorise it. The light will turn green, and the car will maintain the set speed.

To increase or decrease speed, use the dial on RES/+ or SET/-. To temporarily deactivate it (pause), press the y button or tap the brake: the light will return to white, and the speed remains memorised. To resume, turn the dial to RES+. To completely switch off the system and clear the memorised speed, press the button again.

If the car is equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), the procedure is similar, but the system also maintains distance from the preceding vehicle.
