How to Replace Cabin Filter on Opel Zafira

Model: Vauxhall Zafira Zafira B, A05, MK 2 - Years 2005-2011

The cabin filter housing on the Opel Zafira is located behind the glove compartment inside the car, and you will need to remove the glove compartment to access it. First, remove the plastic cover under the glove compartment by unscrewing the two visible plastic screws at the front of the panel; this will give access to two metal screws that secure the glove compartment to the dashboard, which must also be removed. After removing the two screws at the bottom of the glove compartment, you can remove the other two screws located at the top, which will be easily visible when opening the drawer. Once the four securing screws are removed, the entire glove compartment will detach from the dashboard and can be removed by disconnecting the power connector for the light. With the glove compartment removed, you will have access to an air duct that can be detached by releasing the plastic clip that secures it to the metal frame of the dashboard. At this point, you will have access to the cover of the cabin filter housing, which is secured with two screws that can be unscrewed to remove it and gain access to the cabin filter. Once the cover is removed, you can extract the cabin filter and replace it with a new one, then proceed to reassemble the cover and all previously removed parts.
