Replacing the Rear Headlamp Bulb

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra G - Years 1998-2006

To replace the bulbs of the rear lights, you need to remove the entire light assembly. The screw is accessible on the side of the boot after removing the large plastic cover by prying with a plastic tool in the designated slot. Unscrew the large retaining knobs of the lamp located under the cover and remove the light by disconnecting the connectors. Once the bulb holder is removed, carefully replace the faulty bulb by pressing it slightly and turning it counterclockwise until it releases. Refit the new bulb using one with the same specifications. Reposition the light assembly in its housing, connecting the relevant connector. Carefully tighten the securing screw and replace the plastic cover.
