Removing Gear Knob on Opel Zafira

To remove the automatic gear knob on an Opel Zafira, start by prying off the lower trim of the gaiter using a plastic wedge all around the gap. Raise the gaiter as much as possible and break the internal clip with a suitable pliers, then lower the gaiter, detaching it from the lever. At this point, you can remove the gear knob simply by pulling it upwards with force while rotating it slightly. Proceed in reverse for reassembly and remember to fit a new internal clip to keep everything together.
