The steering wheel is not only disassembled in case of problems, structural breakages, or electrical or mechanical failures inside; it can also be removed to renew the material it is made of, using special cleaning products, and so on. We learn how to remove it from this video tutorial: With a small flathead screwdriver, we pry on the central panel and pull it off. Then, from the rear side holes of the steering wheel, we insert the screwdriver and release the airbag latch, disconnecting the electrical power connector as well. Finally, we unscrew the central pin and remove the steering wheel from the steering column.
