Operation: How to remove the rear suspension arm of the Peugeot 206

The guide shows how to remove the rear suspension arm of the Peugeot 206. The first step is to lift the rear of the vehicle and remove the tires. At this point it is necessary to unscrew the 13 mm bolt and the T40 screw from the base of the arm of the opposite side to the one on which to operate, in order to disassemble the metal plate. From the side to be operated on, with a 21 mm wrench blocked and another 21 mm wrench, unscrew the fixing bolt and remove the shock absorber arm. Disconnect the handbrake and ABS cable. Remove the hub cover and bend the lock washer correctly. Unscrew the bolt with a 32mm wrench. Remove the drum cover and remove the 4 T50 fixing bolts and remove the brake mechanism. Unscrew the 13mm bolt on the iron cover at the top of the arm. Remove the drag arm and remove the torsion bar bolt. The suspension arm can now be removed. At this point it is possible to replace the ball bearings of the arm before reassembling it.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
