First, being careful not to damage anything, use a screwdriver to pry at the level of the buttons. This will cause the switch panel to come away on its own. Once removed from its housing, simply disconnect the wire connector by pulling it towards you. The next step is to clean the connection and reconnect the wires to test its functionality.
