Window Switch Repair

If pressing the buttons on the window switch does not move the windows or they only activate after repeated attempts, there is likely a poor contact issue at the buttons themselves: the controls are activated by closing the circuit through the covering under silicone elements that act as buttons; therefore, disassemble the switch by removing the cap at the bottom to access the fastening screw, remove the frame, and extract the switch by disconnecting the relevant connectors; at this point, use a small screwdriver to open the plastic tabs and separate the two halves of the switch; remove the silicone buttons and clean with contact spray before reassembling everything: if the plastic tabs do not hold well, secure the two halves with insulating tape; proceed in reverse for reassembly.
