Operation: How to replace the rear shock absorbers of a Peugeot 3008.

In this video we see how to replace the shock absorbers of a Peugeot 3008: first we need to pull the handbrake and lift the vehicle, placing it on a pair of jack stands. We remove the rear wheels and the rear fender, to access the upper fixing screws of the shock absorber, removing the three screws and the two plastic nuts, as well as the three fixing rivets. We remove the two fixing screws on the top of the shock absorber, spray the bottom with a loosening agent and then unscrew it. We will need to loosen the handbrake to be able to remove the lower screw of the shock absorber. Using a pry bar, we lever it out from the bottom. Before installing the new shock absorber, we must activate it, as seen in the video. When it's ready, you can mount it, starting from the top and then mounting the bottom. But to avoid damaging the silent block, you will need to mount it in the "vehicle on the ground" position, lifting it with the jack. Now close the upper screws. Remove the jack and reassemble the fender. Repeat on the other side and reassemble the wheels.
