How to Replace the Rear Shock Absorbers on a Peugeot 3008

In this video, learn how to replace the shock absorbers on a Peugeot 3008: first, engage the handbrake and lift the vehicle using a pair of axle stands. Remove the rear wheels and the rear wheel arch to access the upper mounting bolts of the shock absorber, removing the three bolts and two plastic nuts, as well as the three securing rivets. Remove the two mounting bolts on the top of the shock absorber, spray the lower part with penetrating oil, and then unscrew it. You will need to release the handbrake to remove the lower bolt of the shock absorber. Use a pry bar to lever it out from below. Before installing the new shock absorber, you must prime it, as shown in the video. When ready, fit it starting from the top and then the bottom. To avoid damaging the silent block, install it in the 'vehicle on the ground' position, lifting it with the jack. Now, tighten the upper bolts. Remove the jack and refit the wheel arch. Repeat on the other side and refit the wheels.
