Peugeot 307 - Video tutorial
Model: Peugeot 307
MK 1
- Years 2001-2009 In this video we see how to replace the front shock absorbers of a Peugeot 307: first of all we need to lift the car safely, then we will remove the wheels, then we will need to use a loosener to remove the shock absorber, then we will have to remove the stabilizer bar link, and here too we will need a good amount of WD-40. In any case, it will not be a very simple job. When the base of the shock absorber is free, we must be careful that the driveshaft does not come out, pushing it into its housing, to prevent the oil from coming out of its box. Then we must remove the windshield frame and the wiper blades (mark their end-of-travel position with tape, so as to reposition them correctly). We must move the brake fluid tank; then we will have to remove the fabric cover fixed to the windshield frame. In this way we can unscrew the bolts of the shock absorber supports, but first we need to position the wiper arms in a position that allows us to operate. Once the upper bolt is unscrewed, we can pull the shock absorber from the bottom. Now - very carefully - we must remove the spring from the shock absorber. Once it is free from the spring, we remove the upper cup and slide it off. We take the new shock absorber (do not forget to pump it several times to activate the system), then we temporarily remove the bar nut and reassemble the cup and pad; insert the shock absorber into the spring correctly, mount the head of the boot, the upper spring support and the cup; close with the nut. Tighten well and recompress the spring. We can reassemble everything on the car, then we will have to reassemble the hub after cleaning it well, put the link back in its upper support and screw it back in. Reassemble the fabric cover and the windshield frame, making sure the gasket is in place. Screw the brake fluid tank back in, then the wiper arms. We can put the wheels back on and lower the car. Operation completed.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHandbrake adjustment on Ford EcosportFirst remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base. by ScegliAuto More videos
