To replace the handbrake cable on the Piaggio MP3 400, you will need to completely remove all the fairings covering the bike, from the inside and outside of the steering column, to the footrest compartment and the side covers of the seat. The handbrake cable is wrapped in a black sheath and can be removed from its housing by loosening the nuts that fix it to the ends at the brake lever and at the rear brake caliper. Then you can also detach the cable from its support near the underseat compartment, in order to insert the new one.
