The Vespa 125 ET4 has both electric and kickstart options; this system allows you to start the scooter if the battery is flat. Place it on the centre stand, turn the key to "on", hold the rear brake, and pull the clutch lever on the left handlebar. With your foot, kick firmly and energetically on the kickstart lever, which is horizontally located on the left side of the scooter, near the engine. Do not be gentle: a good firm kick is needed to turn the engine over. Once the engine is running, immediately release the kickstart and let the engine idle for a few seconds before moving.
