How to change the timing belt of the 1.5 Dci Renault K9K

Model: Renault Renault Various
Part: Timing belt

Video tutorial

In this video we can see a nice animation that shows us in detail how to change the timing belt of a Renault 1.5 DCi K9K engine: after removing the cover, we see the alignment of the timing marks, where we will need to place the pins or bolts to hold the pulleys in place.

This is the most delicate operation to perform, and it will allow us to restart the belt from the correct position; we also need to consider the marks on the belt itself that must match the notches on the pulleys.

Remember that it is also advisable to change the tensioner pulley along with the belt.
