When and How Should I Change the Timing Belt on My Renault with a 1.5 DCI Engine?

Following this short video, you will learn how and when to change the timing belt on your Renault with a 1.5 DCI engine, but the same procedure applies to some Dacia and Nissan models with the same engine. The timing belt generally needs to be replaced every 124,000-149,000 miles. First, open the bonnet of your car and remove the lower coolant hose, draining it into a container. Then remove the crankshaft pulley to take off the trapezoidal belt. Next, remove the left engine mount and the timing cover, lifting the engine with a jack. Replace the belt as shown in the video and reassemble everything in reverse order.
