How to repair the instrument panel on a Renault Scenic dashboard

Model: Renault Scenic MK III, Scenic 3, Scenic III, MK 3 - Years 2009-2015
Part: Instrument cluster

If the instrument panel has decided to turn off or act up, don't panic! It is often due to a cold solder joint or a faulty capacitor. First of all, disconnect the battery for safety. Gently remove the dashboard by removing the screws and releasing the panel. Once opened, check the electronic board: if you notice suspicious solder joints, touch them up with a soldering iron. If the problem is a swollen capacitor, replace it with a similar one. Reassemble everything, reconnect the battery and test it. If it doesn't work, you may need a technician, but often this DIY repair solves the problem.
