How to Make the Boot Floor of a Renault Captur

To build a DIY boot floor for a Renault Captur, the most important phase is definitely the design. Remove the original floor to have a reference model, and take a large sheet of cardboard, joining packing boxes, and place it in the space where the floor will fit. The Renault Captur has an irregularly shaped boot, so precision is key. Make a test with the template to ensure it fits perfectly, then choose the material: plywood is affordable and readily available, but it should be at least 15 mm thick. Transfer the outline onto the wood, and then, using a jigsaw, try to follow the curves as accurately as possible; sand the edges to smooth the cuts, and for the finish, you can choose between a good paint or a carpet or rubber boot mat. Then simply place it in, as it is self-supporting, but don’t forget a handle for easy lifting.
