How to Change the Battery on a Renault Clio V

To replace the battery on a Renault Clio V, open the bonnet: the battery is located on the right side of the engine compartment. Disconnect the monitoring unit connector (flat screwdriver). Unscrew the support plate (13 mm socket). Always disconnect the negative terminal first (10 mm socket), then the positive terminal after removing the red cover. Disconnect the breather hose (if present) and remove the fabric cover. Extract the old battery. Clean the tray and terminals with sandpaper or a wire brush. You can find the new battery on Amazon with code B00KNQTRGY for £70.00, with free delivery. Insert the new battery, apply copper grease to the terminals, and reattach the fabric cover. Reconnect the positive terminal first, then the negative. Reattach the monitoring unit connector and the breather hose. Tighten the support plate.
