Replacing the Number Plate Light on the Clio

Model: Renault Clio Clio 2, MK 2 - Years 1998-2005

Learn how to replace the bulb that illuminates the number plate on the Renault Clio. The number plate light is located in the rear bumper, so let's proceed with the disassembly. Remove the number plate light from the rear bumper of the car (lever the plastic covers). Once the light is removed, extract the bulb holder by hand, then disconnect the bulb from it. Fit the new/LED bulb (same size and voltage), insert it into the bulb holder, and refit the light into the rear bumper, pressing it in until it locks. Turn on the lights to check its operation.

If the central locking system of the Volkswagen Golf 4 is not working, it is likely necessary to reset the system: to do this, open the driver's door and detach the side panel of the dashboard next to the steering wheel.
