Instructions for Replacing the Number Plate Light

Model: Renault Clio Clio 2, MK 2 - Years 1998-2005

The number plate light is located right in the centre of the bumper and replacing it is really very simple; however, due to its position, it is not necessarily the bulb that is blown, it could also be contact oxidation. Therefore, use a small screwdriver to remove the bulb holder and while keeping the lights on, try moving the connector: if the bulb lights up, then the problem is certainly with the contacts of the power socket; turn off the lights, disconnect the socket and clean it with contact spray; reconnect everything, turn on the lights and check that even when jiggling the connector, the bulb does not go out.
