Where is the EOBD Socket on the Renault Captur MK1?

Model: Renault Captur MK 1 - Years 2013-2019

Let's see where the EOBD (European On Board Diagnostic) socket, also known as the DLC (Data Link Connector), is located. This socket allows our mechanics to communicate with the vehicle and understand, from reading the errors on the ECU, what problems the vehicle has or has had. It can also be useful for us if we equip ourselves with an OBDII reader, a device that can be found on any e-commerce platform for a few dozen pounds. If you are a DIY enthusiast, it can be very helpful because, combined with one of the many decoding phone apps, it will help you understand what problems your vehicle has, as it is not always necessary to go to the workshop to resolve them. In the case of the Captur, this communication socket is located in the centre console. You will need to lift the mat of the small central storage compartment, and under the mat, you will find your EOBD socket.

Where to Find the Fuses in the Nissan Qashqai

The fuse box in the Nissan Qashqai's cabin is located to the left of the steering wheel, where there is a small cover. Pull it off to access the fuse and relay box. To replace a fuse, if that is the cause of the issue, take a small pair of pliers and remove the fuse of the non-functioning component. Check that the bridge inside the fuse is not broken; if it is broken, replace the fuse with a new one of the same amperage as the old one. If the bridge is intact, the fuse is functioning correctly.
