Battery Replacement on a Seat Ibiza 6L and Necessary Adjustments

Replacing the battery on a Seat Ibiza 6L requires deactivating the passenger airbag (to prevent it from deploying in case of a short circuit). Before starting, disconnect the passenger airbag and remove the panel to access the battery. Disconnect the negative terminal first (10 mm socket), then the positive (13 mm socket). Remove the mounting bracket and slide out the battery. The new battery (Varta D15: available at ricambi-smc.it for £93.90, with free delivery) should be charged before installation (ideal voltage around 13.96 V after charging). Position the new battery, reconnect the positive terminal and then the negative. Tighten without overdoing it. Reattach the panel and reactivate the airbag. After replacement, some adjustments may be necessary: clock: Press the button and turn it anti-clockwise for hours, clockwise for minutes; automatic windows: To reactivate them, lower the window, pull the lever to the end of its travel, release, and repeat. The system will reprogram itself; radio code: Enter the code (e.g., 0311) by pressing buttons 1-4 and confirming.
