To renew the coolant in a Seat Leon 1P, open the bonnet and remove the cap from the expansion tank (only when the engine is cold). Raise the car, place it on axle stands, and remove the lower cover (eight bolts).

Position a container under the radiator and open the drain tap (or disconnect the lower hose). Allow all the fluid to drain.

Reconnect the hose or close the tap. Important: use only G13 coolant diluted to 40-60% with distilled water. Do not mix with G12, G11, or G12+. Fill the tank to the maximum level using a funnel.

Squeeze the lower radiator hose repeatedly to eliminate air. When no more bubbles appear, top up to the maximum and close the cap. Start the engine at a steady speed until the fan comes on, then turn off and allow to cool. Check the level again and top up if necessary.

Refit the lower cover, lower the car, and remove the chocks.
