In this video, you will disassemble and replace the brake pedal switch on a Smart Fortwo, both first and second generation, by following these simple steps. First, open the front door and locate the sensor next to the brake pedal rod; then disconnect its electrical connector by pressing the tab, and rotate the switch upwards to remove it, as illustrated in the video. Use a multimeter to check the switch's functionality; then apply the reverse procedure to reinstall the new component!
