How to remove the gear knob of a Smart ForTwo

Before we begin, we will have to sit in the driver's seat of our Smart ForTwo. In order to be able to carry out this disassembly in complete safety, it is strongly recommended that you switch off the engine, have the parking brake activated and put the gearbox in neutral. So let's start by pulling the gear knob upwards. By doing so, we will disengage it from its gear lever. When we have completed this last step, we will have successfully completed the disassembly of the gear knob of our Smart ForTwo, and we will be free to fit the new gear knob.
