Disassembly of the tachometer on the Smart Forwto 450

Model: Smart Smart 450 - Years 1998-2007

In this video we will see how to remove the rev counter located on the central part of the dashboard on the Smart Fortwo 450, first series, by following these simple steps. First of all we get on board the vehicle and start by removing the central part of the dashboard; then we remove the plastic cover that we find under the rev counter and unscrew the fixing screws that we find below, using a torx screwdriver, as shown in the video. At this point we disconnect the electrical connector to definitively remove the tachometer; we just have to replace it, if necessary, with the new one and reassemble everything!
