To remove the outer door panel of the Smart 450, open the door and detach the side cover near the handle to unscrew the underlying screw. Once this screw is removed, you can pull out the handle and its mechanism by disconnecting its connector. Next, detach the seal at the top of the door, located at the base of the window. This will allow you to lever under the panel so that it can be removed from the door and replaced with a new spare part.
