How to remove the outer door panel on a Smart Roadster? This video explains how to proceed. Before starting the disassembly, disconnect the battery terminals (if you need to disconnect any electrical wires).

Use a screwdriver to remove the plastic trim at the side of the window; detach the rubber seal next to the glass on the door. Use a plastic lever to unclip all the clips of the door panel, prying around the entire perimeter of the door.

Finally, pull away the outer panel by grasping it with your hands.
