Change gear oil on Smart 453

Today we will show you how to change the gear oil on the Smart 453. Lift the car with a jack and place a support stand under it. Using the 8 mm Allen key, unscrew the gearbox drain plug and collect the used oil in a tray. When this process has come to an end, tighten the drain hole and start loading new lubricant from the top fill hole. It is advisable to use synthetic oil for manual transmission SAE 75W (you will need about 2 liters or a little more, it costs about € 15 per liter). It is also recommended to perform this small maintenance every approximately 45,000 kilometers.

How to Remove the Air Vents on Mercedes SLK
