How do you reset the automatic gearbox of the Smart?

In order to reset the automatic gearbox installed on the Smart, you will need to insert the ignition key and turn it to turn on the instrument panel: once the panel is on, you will need to move the gear selector to the N position and then hold down the brake pedal all the way for about five seconds. After this interval of time, you will hear an audible signal indicating the reset of the gearbox settings; also, the instrument panel will display the indicator with the letter N and at this point you can turn off the panel.
