How do you reset the automatic transmission of the Smart car?

On the Smart Fortwo, when the flashing letter N appears on the instrument panel, it means that there is a problem with the automatic transmission. To resolve this issue, you will need to connect a diagnostic tool to the vehicle's OBD port, which can be found under the steering column. After connecting, you can select the specific car model and version in order to remove any stored errors in the transmission control unit. Then, you can disconnect the scanner to verify that the transmission is functioning properly.
