Resetting the Service Light on a Smart 2010

Model: Smart Smart 451 - Years 2007-2015

To reset the orange light with the spanner symbol, follow this procedure: turn the key and switch on the ignition (do not start the engine). Press the lever located on the left of the dashboard twice until the service indicator appears. Turn the key and switch off the ignition. Press and hold the lever on the left of the dashboard while turning the key to switch on the ignition again, until the service symbol disappears. To check if the service light has indeed turned off, switch off and then switch on the ignition again.
