How to replace the horn in the Smart

Model: Smart Smart 450 - Years 1998-2007
Part: Checks and maintenance

In today's video we see how to replace the horn in the first series Smart. The first thing we recommend is to act with the car stationary, to avoid touching hot or hot parts. We then lift the car (even on a ramp, since we need it to act on the front part of the vehicle) and identify the horn in the middle of the car. Let's remove it and proceed with the installation of a new piece of the same type, paying attention to the power connectors. Once this is done, we can get the car down and test if the piece we have installed works correctly and if so, we are finished.

How to Remove the Gear Knob on an Opel Astra

How to replace the gear knob on an Opel Astra? Follow these steps: use a plastic lever to disconnect the leather gaiter frame (if you need to replace it). Grip the knob with both hands and pull it upwards (with a strong and decisive motion) until it comes off the gear stick. For installation: fit the new gaiter and position it on the centre tunnel, take the new knob and push it onto the stick, tightening it until fully threaded. Test the movement of the stick on the centre tunnel to ensure the knob is correctly fitted.
